For this project, we were tasked with creating a successful adaptive reuse project of the E.B Eddy Site on the border of Gatineau and Ottawa. Our clients Outaouais Region were looking for a prime location to put their first regional museum. We were to consider how our building would interact with the Zibi development that it would be a part of, the history of the site and the conservation and sustainability of it. We were to work in a group of 3 and were assigned with picking a group leader which was me. For this project, we wanted to focus on the industrial history of the site, both because we felt it would express the existing building and because the Zibi master plan wanted this area to be considered a public industrial-themed complex.
